Have always loved this album (still looking for it on vinyl). I remember catching the 20th anniversary show on AXS one time, havenβt seen it since. I also really like βLong Journey Homeβ live cd/dvd. But I have quite a few of their other album, but havenβt listen to their first one. But a great band.
I love that they covered the live version of VU's "Sweet Jane" and not the album version. And also that their version was prominently featured in Natural Born Killers (and was the best thing about that movie, imo).
It was a great choice for them, no doubt. Iβm slowly piecing together a post about 80s CanCon on movie soundtracks and this will no doubt be on there. π¨π¦
Somehow Iβve never managed to listen to an entire album of theirs. Their version of Sweet Jane is so incredible. Iβm definitely going to listen to this album asap.
Thank you! I will do so! I was too embarrassed to admit I wasnβt familiar with their catalog a few weeks ago when I was meeting friends and they thought what I was playing in the car sounded like Cowboy Junkies (it was Florence Road)β¦ so I played Sweet Jane on the TouchTunes while they talked about how amazing the Cowboy Junkies are. I meant to go listen then. Totally writing it down today so I donβt forget! Iβve loved everything Iβve heard by them, so I donβt know why I have never listened to a full album!

They have so many records! That version of Trinity Session from Latent must be hard to find!
I listened to this album a lot in college. They still sound great in concert today.
They sure do!
That was around the time I started working in music retail, we sold loads of this album and had it playing in-store all the time.
βI will now sell five copies of The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkiesβ¦β π
Terrific post about a wonderful album.
Here's my recent post celebrating Margo's birthday.

Kristin! Iβm shocked.
Check out Black Eyed Man, that my fave. Canβt go wrong with most, though.
