How is it that Canada produced so much great music, I keep asking myself. You’d think Maple Mixtape must have uncovered it all by now… and then Ken turns up with yet another brilliant discovery. Does this incredible journey of discovery ever really end? 😁
Young and Restless is a great song. But Armageddon is like one needle drop away from widespread fame. For all their talent, it's weird their only Billboard Top 40 was with Small
I remember Tom Keenlyside as a member of the jazz band Skywalk. I played the hell out of their album "The Bohemians" in college, and Tom was a big reason why.

I haven't heard those three great songs in a long time - they still sound wonderful! A very nice piece on Prism!

Yeah, the Canadian fans did not like that move. Sounds like he was a bit of a glory hunter, trying to kick off that solo career.
I should go back and listen to that single. I remember it being very AOR, like they were going to be a Journey or something like that.
That’s what I hear.
Tina knows the band but didn’t know any of these songs
Yeah, a little more Maple 8-track than mixtape. 😉
Nice post.
I remember the first two tunes but the third eludes me.
Thanks, Frank. Glad you liked it 🤘🏻

As I recall he and Vallance were at UBC for Music together.
