Single flashback
Roman Grey - IBU [1988]
Setting out in 1982 the duo of Roman Grey were Ross Rheaume [aka Ross Roman] and David Grey.
Their initial single ‘Look Me In The Eyes’ did very well in Europe in ‘82, before issues with their label left them without the trappings of success.
A second single - ‘Shakedown’ - hit in the UK [1984], but again was not enough to bring stability.
Attic Records signed to duo in 1987 and brought in legendary Canadian producer Terry Brown to twiddle the dials. The subsequent album ‘Edge Of The Shadow’ launched a few singles, including moderate hit ‘IBU’.
IBU - peaked #37 in Canada
Sadly, the album was their last and the subsequent singles didn’t have any chart impact.
The verdict was that the material was just not consistent enough to drive a long-term project and the group subsequently disbanded in 1989.
No reunion or subsequent new music followed, leaving Roman Grey with only a modest legacy here in Canada.

Thanks for bringing attention to overlooked artists. A cause dear to my heart.
Never heard these guys before but this IBU song isn’t half bad. I’ll look out for some more.
