A favorite band - saw them on the Never Surrender tour - it was one of the loudest shows Iβve ever been too, my ears were still ringing the next day all through school. But I think my favorite album is Just A Game - Lay it on the Line, Hold On and the title track. I still have the tour book from the show, it says that they were never an opening act, had always been the headliner. A solid group - like all of their stuff. Blinding Light Show also a scorcher off their first album. There was a great documentary on them I saw a few years back.
And as much as I love βMagic Power,β I adore βFight the Good Fightβ and βOrdinary Manβ even more. The positive lyrics really were an exception back then, and I took notice. Styxβ βIβm OKβ is another favorite from back then in terms of positivity songs.
I got to see them in 1982 at the Rose Bowl. I was 15 and my dad dropped me and my friend Bobby off at the entrance. The lineup was Aldo Nova, Triumph, Blue Oyster Cult, and headliner was Journey. At that time itβs possible Triumph was my favorite of that list, but I loved all 4.
A wonderful band and some awesome videos!
They were unbelievable in their prime. One of the worldβs best.
I had Rock and Roll Machine on 8-Track and loved it!
Magic Power is such a great song. And what a voice!!
And he can play that guitar, too! πΈ

The Rock & Roll Machine rolls on! π€π»
One of my favorite Triumph songs.
On my list, for sure. Maybe βLay It On The Lineβ if youβre had to choose.
Lay it on the Line is probably my favorite. Also a big fan of Fight the Good Fight.

They had some beauties! π¨π¦
Triumph! They were staples on every Saturday morning hockey commute growing up.
A solid fit, in hindsight.
Totally makes sense! π₯
