I got to see the Payolas opening for Rush on the Signals tour back in 1982 at the Maple Leaf Gardens. I had just turned 11 and it was my first major concert and I was just getting to know who the Payolas were with "Eyes Of A Stranger" being such a huge hit. Great show!
Another fun morning around the breakfast table! As soon as this started my wife knew it was The Payola$. And then Carole Pope kicked in and she was racking her brain to figure out the singer. She knows it’s the lead singer from the band that sings High School Confidential but can’t remember the band name. I’m sure it’ll come to her later. I’d never heard this song before but it was a lot of fun!!

Saw Rough Trade a couple of times, always a blast. I taped their live show at the Palais Royale off of CFNY and it still sounds good.
