Been reading for a while but wanted to say hi - these are great tracks as always! I'm a youngster who grew up in Western NY so heard a lot of Canadian artists on the radio as a kid (Cory Hart, Kim Mitchell, etc.) But there was so much more great stuff under the surface that I'd never encountered. I absolutely love CanCon and always have, and your newsletter is always introducing me to new favorites. Even though I wasn't alive for it, something about that 80s sound just takes me to better days and better places. Keep up the great work, I'll have to chime in more often.
Love the baseline, “Cancon artists who were so nice, they charted twice” 😁 But even with two hits, most of them were completely unknown to me. I do like "Double" Dare 😁
Enjoyed all of these although I’d never heard any of them. Of the bunch Tina had only heard “Sheriff” so I feel like these were quite obscure or perhaps more popular on the west coast
